I’ve never liked it. I follow all my favorite photographers on the Gram but I can never get into it myself. I hate having to crop my photos in order to share them, which is why I use WordPress to blog my photos. I also like the idea that my local followers can’t see my art. Idk why that rant popped in my head but whatever, photo unrelated.

I hate writing but this one needs some context so here goes: When I took this picture I was on all fours throwing up after a track workout. For the past 4 years I have run every season of high school cross country/track, and this past week marks the beginning of a new chapter as I prepare for college cross country. This photo is supposed to represent the pain and hard work that is required to be successful in the sport of running. Although I may have never won a state title or been a D1 recruit, I was the only athlete on the field doing a workout in 90+ degrees heat, 2 days before I graduated high school. Runners’ talents and work is often overshadowed by other sports, and it is sad to realize how hard runners work for such little respect. 3 days after this photo was taken, I had the opportunity to race at New Balance Nationals, where our relay team was 2 seconds off the school record. It is very bittersweet to look back on my hard journey and realize it’s over, but onto bigger and better things.
